Coronavirus Precautions

At SantaFe Senior Living, the health and safety of our residents and associates continue to be our top priorities. While we are pleased with the high vaccination rates of our residents and associates and take comfort in the greater protection they provide against the virus, we remain proactive and aggressive in our approach to COVID-19. We continue to monitor current conditions, follow CDC, state and local mandates, and implement best practices to protect our community.

Date: October 1, 2021
To: All Village Residents Subject: Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination for Associates

We are now 20 months into the COVID-19 pandemic. Since March 2020, more than 40 million Americans have tested positive and nearly 700,000 have lost their lives due to COVID-19. Florida has been particularly impacted. More than 20% of the population have tested positive and over 50,000 Floridians have lost their lives.

As we continue to protect each other from the virus, we must remain dedicated to all the preventative measures that have been implemented to date.

Today, with the safety of our entire community in mind, we implemented a policy mandating COVID-19 vaccinations for Village associates. The decision to mandate the vaccine was not an easy one. We recognize there are many different perspectives regarding the vaccine and we have listened to the concerns of our associates. However, the best proven method to continue to protect the health and safety of our residents and associates while minimizing positive cases and serious illness, is to require COVID-19 vaccinations.

We are proud to announce that most of our associates are already vaccinated. However, it is important for us to recognize that those who have not been vaccinated are very caring, dedicated people who have worked incredibly hard over the last 20 months, and have shown tremendous commitment to keeping our residents and other associates safe. As we implement this mandatory policy, we are focused on showing great respect, concern, and support for the associates who have yet to be vaccinated and we ask for your support to do the same.

As a community, we are dedicated to the health and wellness of our residents, their families, and our associates. Please know how much we appreciate your ongoing support, and understanding for the measures we continue to take for the safety of our entire community.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you.
